Countering terrorism and repelling challenges to security – priorities of Kazakhstan’s presidency in the OSCE

ASTANA. October 14. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Countering terrorism and repelling those challenges to security are the main priorities of the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE. OSCE Chairman-in-office, Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev said it at the OSCE Expert Conference on Successful Strategies, Effective Policies and Best Practices to Prevent Terrorism on October 14 in Astana.
'We have been working on this issue intensively with the OSCE member states during long time already. We have realized a series of projects aimed at this issue', K. Saudabayev said.
He also emphasized that Kazakhstan considered activation of deepening the cooperation between the OSCE member states in this sphere necessary as well as strengthening of the role of the Organization in supporting the key measures taken by the UN.
