Council of Federation considers Customs Union's establishment as main event on CIS territory

ANA. January 11. KAZINFORM The Council of Federation considers conclusion of the process of the Customs Union's formation as the main event on the CIS territory, Kazinform refers to RBK.
According to member of the committee of the Council of Federation Vadim Gustov, "the Union has just set to functioning", the press service of the Council reports. The senator noted that the Customs Union would start its real activity since July 1, 2010.
V. Gustov supposes there would be some complications in the Organization's activity "because at the beginning all member countries would be interested in getting more from the common "money bank". However, he expressed optimism on "political will of the leaders of three countries to carry out this initiative".
"Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan do not veil their striving to join the Customs Union too and they are developing appropriate documents in order to join it", Gustov added.
