Council of CIS Heads of Security and Special Services Bodies to hold session in Aktau
The measures on cooperation modernization in the struggle against international terrorism and other manifestations of extremism will be elaborated at the session.
The session participants will discuss implementation of the Interstate program of joint measures to combat crime for 2008-2010 by the Council and consider a number of issues directed to modernization of the CIS Antiterrorist Center.
Representatives of special services bodies from Germany, Spain, Italy and France were invited as observers for participation in the session.
The Council of the Heads of Security and Special Services Bodies of the CIS Member States was created on March 28, 1997 by the decision of the CIS Heads of States Council. The Council is aimed at ensuring effective interaction in the sphere of struggle against organized crime of international character and etc.
The Council held 26 sessions, prepared and considered over 70 draft documents on interaction, information exchange, and development of recommendations and proposals of joint ensuring the national collective security in the CIS.
