Contest for design of fitness for Kazakh national team for Sochi 2014 Olympic Games announced

"The competition is held by the Agency for the first time. Each participating country goes to the Olympic Games, held every four years, with certain training. In particular, special attention is paid to the dress uniform, in which athletes will go on public display from around the world during the opening ceremony.

In order to prepare high-level clothing for athletes the Agency has decided to hold this contest, " said Deputy Head of the Agency for Sport and Physical Education Elsiyar Kanagatov.

People will choose the best design work. May 27 the special commission will select 3 winners, which will then be displayed on the website of the Agency, and every citizen of Kazakhstan will be able to vote for one or another form of clothing. The winner, who collected the most votes, and his/her work will be announced on May 30. Best designer will receive two tickets to the Olympic Games called "Sochi-2014". According to the Agency the cost of these trips is more than 20 thousand dollars.

"Sportswear set consists of nearly 30 titles, the cost will be known once the company determined that it will be engaged in sewing. For example, in Vancouver one set of one athlete had cost KZT 347 thousand (tenge). I think that at this time the cost will be higher, as high-quality sportswear requires large investments, " said E.Kanagatov.

According to him, in the process of making a lot of attention is paid to the quality and accuracy of sewing labels.

It should be recalled that in Turin White Olympics the form in which the Kazakh team appeared at the opening of the Games was named the best by the known Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
