Contest dated to 550th anniversary of Kazakh khanate held in Karaganda

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Republican competition Akbergen dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate has been held in Karaganda city today.
Within the framework of the contest high school students competed in speech craft, writing essays, art of declamation, instrumental performance and composing verses. A special panel consisting of school teachers, university professors and professional musicians chose the winners among 10 teams. They will participate in the grand competition at the Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Turkestan on March 19-21. According to organizers, with the help of the Akbergen competition they are trying to find talented students. It is also set to promote patriotism and national spirit among younger generation.
