Kazakhstan, China establish JV to build container hub in Aktau Sea Port
During the 7th China International Supply Chain and Logistics Expo in Beijing, Chief manager of the transport logistics department of Aktau Sea Port Kairat Kaliolla noted that building a container hub in the Aktau Port in 2025 is projected to hugely increase the annual volume of transportation, Kazinform News Agency reports.

On September 20, KTZ Express, China’s Lianyungang Port, and Kazakhstan’s Aktau Sea Port signed founding documents of a joint venture to build the container hub in Aktau Sea Port.
"The joint venture will operate the container hub. Construction works are set to be completed by the end of 2025. This will let increase the capacity of the Aktau Sea Port from the current 70 thousand to 250 thousand TEU per year," noted Kairat Kaliola.

Gaidar Abdikerimov, the Secretary General of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) International Association highlighted the potential of the Middle Corridor.
“The TITR represents a significant opportunity for Kazakhstan to leverage its transit potential. It offers a competitive alternative to the southern classical sea corridors, enabling shippers to deliver cargo from Southeast Asia to Europe two times faster,” he added.
The 7th China International Supply Chain and Logistics Expo in Beijing also showcased a pavilion featuring the TITR multimodal transportation infrastructure.
