Consultations between Kazakh and Indian foreign ministries held in Astana
The sides discussed the issues of strengthening political dialogue, economic cooperation development, interaction at the international arena, implementation of the treaties reached within the framework of the state visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to India on January 23-26 and within a regular session of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Indian Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical, industrial and cultural cooperation, which was held in Astana on March 12-13.
The issues of expansion of contractual legal basis between the two states, cooperation within the framework of the CICA were on the agenda.
The sides confirmed striving for building up strategic partnership, expressed readiness to take active steps on promising investment projects implementation. Taking into account necessity of support of a high level of political relations, opportunity of a visit of the Indian leadership to Kazakhstan in 2010 was discussed.
