Constructive religious dialogue important for ensuring freedom of people - Canada's ex-PM

ASTANA. May 30. KAZINFORM Speaking at a plenary sitting of the IV Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana former Prime Minister of Canada Jean Chretien expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for organization of constructive dialogue.

"This kind of dialogue is very important with respect to diversity and freedom of people," Jean Chretien said.
Such a dialogue should be aimed at mutual understanding, he says. "All points of view should lead to a fraternity. It is necessary to contribute to the development of society."

The politician with great experience believes that "it is much easier to stay out of politics helping people build a better life. Then you get a great sense of satisfaction."
