Construction of south section of West Europe West China road began in South Kazakhstan

Contractors began construction at six out of seven road sections. "About 20 unites of equipment were mobilized. The basic works we plan to conduct if the weather conditions allow are removal of topsoil and preparation of subgrade", head of the committee of highways of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Zamir Saginov said.

He noted that four of six contractors are foreign companies. They must attract local construction firms and workers - about 16 thousand people. The construction materials are produced in the region as well. According to Z.Saginov, if the weather allows the works will be ceaselessly.
