Construction of Kumkol-Kyzylorda high-voltage power line to eliminate energy shortage in southern regions - Minister Issekeshev

ASTANA. February 15. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Construction of Kumkol-Kyzylorda high-voltage power line will let solve energy shortage problems in southern regions of Kazakhstan. Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev has said it at a sitting of the national management center for forced industrial-innovative development in Astana today.
"Several issues have been revealed regarding Akshabulak Gas Turbine Power Plant project. The initiators of the project propose to supply electric power to Karaganda oblast. Alongside, Kyzylorda oblast itself and other southern regions face energy deficit presently", Issekeshev added.
According to him, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was charged to consider an opportunity of construction of Kumkol-Kyzylorda high-voltage line in order to solve the problem of energy deficiency in southern regions.
