Construction of EXPO-2017 complex in Astana to wrap up in 2016

ASTANA. October 22. KAZINFORM Construction of the EXPO-2017 exhibition complex in Astana is set to be finished in 2016, CEO of the JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017" Talgat Yermegiyayev said Tuesday.
"The registration dossier has been submitted to the corresponding government bodies. I believe it is now being considered by the presidential administration. Afterwards, the dossier will be sent for the approval of the state commission. The construction works should be completed in 2016, so that we would have at least six months prior to the EXPO-2017 event to put all the facilities to a test," he explained.
As reported earlier, the American company Adrian Smith+Gordon Gill Architecture was announced as the winner of the best design idea of the EXPO-2017 complex in Astana.
