Concept of forming EAEU's common commodity exchange market signed in Yerevan
Following the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council's meeting held in an extended format in Yerevan, Chairman of the EEC Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev told mass media about the outcomes of the meeting.

He said the prime ministers signed the Concept of Forming the EAEU's Common Commodity Exchange Market. This document is called to develop the national exchanges and expand sales markets for business. At the same time, participants will gain access to the goods, the prices for which will be formed on a competitive basis. Exchange trading in energy products will be approved separately.

The heads of government also approved the regulations for information exchange in the common electricity market. This is the last document from the package of rules required for successful functioning of this market.
As Bakytzhan Sagintayev said, the heads of government approved the 2024-2026 Road Map which forms a common transport space and a common market of transport services.

He said that the participants defined the main areas of industrial cooperation until 2030. The document contains a common list of priority sectors from aircraft manufacturing and space technologies, to paper and jewelry production.
The participants also signed the Joint Action Plan of the EEC and the Government of Uzbekistan for 2024-2026. The plan provides for customs cooperation, interaction in technical regulation, consumers’ rights protection, trade policy, antimonopoly regulation, etc.

As part of the Eurasian Economic Council’s meeting, Yerevan also hosted the III Eurasian Economic Forum dedicated to the 10th anniversary of signing the EAEU Treaty. More than 2,000 people from 30 countries of the world gathered at the Forum. Its program included approximately 30 events as well as a series of events with the participation of Iran’s governmental officials and business communities.
The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is slated for December in Moscow.
