Comprehensive treaty on good-neighborliness and alliance between Kazakhstan and Russia in XXI c. to be signed

ASTANA. May 29. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council had a meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports the Kazakh leader's press-service.

During the meeting President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that important documents would be taken into consideration the upcoming meeting of the heads of the three states.

Regarding bilateral Kazakh-Russian relations Nazarbayev expressed hope that the elaborated comprehensive treaty on good-neighborliness and alliance in the XXI century would be signed the current year.

"Our task is to develop mutual trade and strengthen the Customs Union. The interest is also on the part of Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, the heads of which have arrived in Astana. They have a good opportunity to get acquainted with the progress of the integration process for further action. I take this opportunity also to thank you for the invitation to attend the G-20 summit, " said the President of Kazakhstan.

Putin, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the organization of this meeting of the heads of state.

"We can see how much personal attention you pay to the development of Russian-Kazakh relations. Due to this direct participation, our relations are developing very quickly and efficiently, and trade volumes are growing . You definitely are a leader in the integration process, and in the most essential of its forms and shapes. Therefore, it is symbolic that we are meeting here in Astana. I am confident that our meeting will be productive and useful, " said the President of Russia.
