Companies from 15 countries showcase mining and metallurgy innovations in Astana
At the 16th Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress 2026, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reviewed advanced technologies and solutions for Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgical sector, Qazinform News Agency cites the Government’s press service.
This year, the exhibition draws the participation of 70 companies from 15 countries, including Australia, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Uzbekistan, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Estonia.

This year the exhibition draws the participation of 70 companies from 15 countries, including Australia, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Uzbekistan, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Estonia.

Projects showcase industrial automation, digital tools, modernization, environmental and industrial safety, processing, and engineering services.
The congress is an authoritative platform that brings together states, businesses, the expert community and international organizations to debate the future of the mining and metallurgical sector. Over 1,500 delegates from 16 countries are attending the event, underscoring strong global interest in Kazakhstan’s mining sector.
Addressing those present, the PM said Kazakhstan’s economy grew 6.5% in 2025.
He noted geological surveys are key to discovering new deposits and expanding the mineral resource base.
The strategic goal is not only to increase raw material output but to transform Kazakhstan into a producer of competitive industrial products for global markets.
