Committee of Chiefs of General Staffs of CIS Armed Forces met in Baku

BAKU. KAZINFORM The Committee of Chiefs of the General Staffs of the CIS countries' Armed Forces convened today in Baku. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan attended the meeting, chaired by Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Army General Valeri Gerasimov.
1st deputy Defence Minister-Chief of the General Staff of Kazakh Armed Forces, Colonel General Saken Zhasuzakov led the Kazakh delegation. Those gathered debated and signed 12 documents on defence cooperation, including the joint radar-locating state identification system development concept, conceptual approaches to the development of military collaboration between the CIS member countries, joint actions for 2015-2020. According to Gerasimov, today's meeting is another step to widening military cooperation and deepening of relations based on confidence and mutual understanding between the General Staffs of the CIS Armed Forces.
