Commerce and Industry Chamber to support small and medium businesses in conditions of Customs Union

ALMATY. January 11. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ Accession of Kazakhstan to the Customs Union together with Russia and Belarus will provide us with quite interesting work, Vice President of the Kazakhstan Commerce and Industry Chamber Tatyana Zhdanova said commenting on establishment of such an important union.

"Joining the Customs Union Kazakhstan will be considered by Belarus and Russia as a potential market for investments. Therefore our task will be maintenance of interesting projects in small and medium businesses", she said.

According to her, there is a Business Council of Near-Border Cooperation in Kazakhstan which unites all other regional commerce and industry chambers. "This year we plan to have around 40 meetings with Russian businessmen", Zhdanova noted.

"As for Belarus, unfortunately, we have not paid working visit to this country yet while Belarusian businessmen have already visited Kazakhstan several times to take part in business forums. We expect to visit them this year", the Vice President of the Commerce and Industry Chamber said.
