CNPC, KazMunaiGas to build Line C of Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline

MOSCOW. October 3. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz and China's CNPC have signed an agreement on design, finance, construction and operation of Line C of the Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline, CNPC said Friday.

According to Platts, the construction of Line C of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline is to start in 2012, and it will begin to supply China with natural gas in January 2014, the company said in a statement.

Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline refers to a majority of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline that is along the border of Kazakhstan. On September 21, CNPC and Uzbekneftegaz signed an agreement on construction and operation of Line C of the Uzbekistan section.
