Classes cancelled in E Kazakhstan due to cold spell

UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - Classes for the younger students in eastern Kazakhstan have been cancelled today due to the extreme cold and severe winter weather.
Parents of the younger students in Shemonaikha, Semey, Ridder, Kurchatov, Zharminskiy and Abaisjiy districts were highly recommended not to send their children to school. Public schools in Beskaragaiskiy and Kokpektinskiy districts were closed due to cold spell, snowstorm and low temperatures (-31°C). Meteorologists predict the weather conditions will only get worse in the region.
