CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Forum to take place in 2014
The first meeting of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly approved of the resolution to conduct the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Forum in 2014.
"The forum, meant for conducting a direct dialogue and sharing experience between young parliamentarians and leaders of youth organizations, meetings between political figures, experts of the participating states of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and representatives of international organizations, is conducted in order to develop international youth cooperation and parliamentarism in the CIS ," the press service said.
Members of the youth parliamentary delegations of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly are expected to take part in the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary commissions and the 4th International Youth Science-to-Practice Conference "Scientific Aspirations 2013", an international youth forum "Friendship without Borders", the 6th Nevsky International Environmental Congress and other events.
Belarus will be represented by Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Youth Policy and Relations with Civil Organizations of the Minsk Council of deputies, First Secretary of the Minsk Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Yuri Chechukevich.
Founded in November 2012, the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly comprises youth parliamentary delegations from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly member states. Delegations include MPs of the national, regional, local and municipal levels under 35 and representatives of youth parliaments and youth advisory structures set up under the CIS parliaments, leaders of youth movements, youth public associations, BelTA reports.
The CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly is meant to assist the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in lawmaking activities and making decisions concerning the rights and legal interests of the CIS youth. Besides, young parliamentarians are expected to develop recommendations for state and interstate social and economic, public and political processes in the Commonwealth.
