CIS to have common control system of radiological, chemical and biological environment

ASTANA. September 22. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Draft Law on Ratification of the Cooperation Agreement among the Defense Ministries of the CIS member states in the field of control over radiological, chemical and biological environment was discussed at the session of the Committee on Foreign affairs, Defense and Security of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament).
Kazakh Deputy Defense Minister Bolat Sembinov informed that the Agreement subjected to the ratification was signed on November 14, 2008.
"The main purpose of the Agreement is to unite the efforts on control over radiological, chemical and biological environment at the territories of the participating states by means of information exchange. The Agreement provides establishment of general control system at the facilities of the Defense Ministries of participating countries", B.Sembinov said.
After the discussion the Committee submitted the draft Law to the consideration of the Majilis.
