CIS observers monitor presidential elections in Tajikistan

SAINT-PETERSBURG. November 4. KAZINFORM A group of international observers of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly arrived in Dushanbe on Monday to monitor the presidential elections in Tajikistan.
"Secretary General of the CIS IPA Council - head of the CIS IPA Council's Secretariat Alexey Sergeyev participated in the work of the group in the Tajik capital," the statement by the CIS IPA reads.
The group of observers of the CIS IPA is a part of the CIS mission and consists of 35 people - MPs from eight CIS members countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kairat Ishchanov was appointed the coordinator of the group.
