CIS Information Council to hold first regular sitting in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. June 25. KAZINFORM - The CIS Information Council will hold the IX regular sitting June 29-30 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The decision was made at the VIII sitting of the Council in October, 2008 in Kishinev. The agenda includes several issues, such as information support of the CIS integration processes, interaction of information agencies in the coverage of arrangement and conduction of activities within the Year of Innovations and Science of the CIS in 2010, and a number of other issues.
One of the priorities of the Council at present is joint projects within the 2009 year of CIS Youth and preparations to the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Civil War of 1941-1945.
