CIS free trade zone agr't likely to be signed by yearend

SAINT PETERSBURG. August 18. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ The Agreement on establishment of a free-trade zone of the CIS is likely to be signed by the end of the year. Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth Sergey Lebedev announced it. According to him, this is a very important step which will allow providing free trade turnover in the former USSR territory. "Creation of a free trade zone in the CIS area will let market the products in member countries", he said.
S. Lebedev also added that the 2020 Program of CIS Innovative Cooperation would be discussed at the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council scheduled for November 19 in Saint Petersburg.
The draft document will be considered preliminary at a session of the CIS Economic Council on September 17.
