CIS Foreign Ministers Council to sit in Tashkent 5 April
The foreign ministers of the Commonwealth will discuss a wide range of issues concerning integration cooperation in the international policy. The participants of the meeting are expected to consider a number of draft documents aimed at strengthening interstate cooperation in humanitarian activities, security and other areas of cooperation.
The ministers will look into CIS draft agreements on mutual recognition of documents confirming higher and higher vocational education, the 2013-2015 action plan on the implementation of the physical culture and sports strategy in the CIS through 2020, a protocol on introducing amendments to the agreement on cooperation in the formation of the CIS common education space of 17 January 1997. Besides, the participants of the meeting will discuss the issue of announcing the year 2014 the Year of Tourism in the CIS.
The meeting will also focus in the CIS draft cooperation concept against IT crimes, an agreement on the formation and application of special rapid response groups of specialists (experts) of the border agencies to the border security threats at the external borders of the CIS states.
Apart from that, the CIS foreign ministers will consider the implementation of a plan for multilevel ministerial consultations in the Commonwealth in 2012 and the similar plan for 2013 as well as the draft provisions on the advisory council of the heads of the consular services of the CIS Foreign Ministries, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee said.
