CIS defense ministers convene in Astana

Defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are in attendance. The agenda of the session is quite action-packed with 20 issues related to multilateral military cooperation. The meeting is expected to discuss documents on status of engineers, joint monitoring and evaluation of radiation, chemical and biological conditions, military aviation safety in the CIS member states and many other issues.
