CIS Council of Foreign Ministers to hold sitting in Moscow

MOSCOW. March 26. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Regular session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states will be held today in Moscow. The Kazakh delegation will be headed by Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev.

"The agenda of the session includes 18 issues concerning multilateral interaction within the Commonwealth. Issue of the foreign cooperation of the CIS member states is of special importance", official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrei Nesterenko said.

According to him, the sides will exchange opinions on the activity of the OSCE within the context of Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship in 2010 and promotion of the Russian initiative on the European Security Treaty.

Special attention will be paid to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Besides, issues of humanitarian cooperation, provision of security, interaction of the law-enforcement agencies and military cooperation will be discussed as well.
