CICA may be a full-fledged int'l organization on interaction and confidence- building measures in Asia- Nazarbayev

"Convening of CICA was one of the first foreign policy initiatives of independent Kazakhstan proposed 20 years ago at the 47th session of the UN General Assembly and successfully implemented. We are very satisfied with the way this process has been developing for two decades. In practice, the CICA has come to the level of interaction, which suggests a more effective form of its participation in the system of international relations in Eurasia and globally. We are talking about the prospect of a full-fledged new international organization for cooperation and confidence building measures in Asia. In this context all participants in the CICA must work together in the coming years," Nazarbayev said.
