CICA likely to become efficient platform for coop, view

MOSCOW. October 17. KAZINFORM The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is likely to become an efficient mechanism of diverse cooperation on the Eurasian space, experts said the roundtable themed "The CICA 20th anniversary and Kazakhstan's initiative to establish a platform of Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian security" held in Moscow.
It brought together deputies of Russia's State Duma, experts of research centers and reps of international organizations to focus on Kazakhstan's initiatives on further development and improvement of the CICA process - its transformation into an organization and paying the foundation, over the long term, for a common platform of Atlantic and Eurasian security.
As stated there, the CICA is regarded as an analogue to the OSCE in Asia.
