CICA is a result of Kazakh President's strategy on ensuring security on the continent - H. Karzai

'The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia was established thanks to the efforts of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. I want to thank Nursultan Nazarbayev for wise leadership and express my admiration for what he has done. In my opinion the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia is the result of his strategy on ensuring security on the continent', H. Karzai said.

H. Karzai also expressed his confidence that Kazakhstan would continue work on ensuring global and regional security within its presidency in the OSCE.

'The CICA is strengthening interaction with other international and regional organizations. In particular, we now establish a center of preventive diplomacy in Ashgabat', the Afghan President said.

Besides, H. Karzai noted that the potential of economic development was great in Central Asia. 'The people of Afghanistan are thankful to their friends in Asia and beyond for their help in maintaining the territorial integrity and peace. The stability and development in Afghanistan depend on the activities of international forces. We need stability for prosperity', the Afghan President emphasized.
