Chocolate production soars in Kazakhstan

Chocolate production soared by more than 10 per cent in Kazakhstan in 2023, Kazinform News Agency cites Qazstat.
The sweet industry is estimated to have grown by 11.3 per cent this year with 97.5 thousand tons of bulk chocolate and cocoa-based products produced in January-November 2023.
To compare, Kazakhstan’s chocolate industry produced 87.6 thousand tons of chocolate products during the analogous period of 2022.
The actual weight of the imported chocolate products in 10 months of 2023 has grown by 52.8 per cent.
Highly prized for its superior quality, Kazakhstan’s chocolate products found their way to the supermarkets worldwide as the country exported 30 thousand tons of sweet produce.
