Chinese IT-giant intends to invest $15 million in Kazakhstan

The corporation intends to open an administrative and commercial offices in Astana and Almaty this year to seek partners for joint production of equipment for the Kazakhstan market. The company plans to invest $15 million to create jobs for local engineers and take strong positions in the IT market of the country, according to the Kazakh National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. In addition, Inspur representatives talked about their intentions to support and participate in the major public projects such as "G-Cloud", "SmartCity Astana" and "Supercomputer Center in Al-Farabi Kazakh national University". "We hope that the products of Inspur corporation will occupy 15% of the Kazakhstani market of IT equipment in the coming years thanks to the brand name of the manufacturer, the ratio of perfect quality and reasonable price," said General Director of "KazComNet" LLC Bolat Kurmanaliyev. Inspur Group is a joint state-owned enterprise, founded in 1945. According to Gartner, Inspur ranks fifth in the world and first in China in terms of sales of servers. Inspur turnover in 2013 amounted to $7.5 billion, the company has demonstrated the highest growth rates in the world - 288% per year (quarterly period) in the appropriate segment of the market. At the moment Inspur has 39 regional offices around the world.
