Chinese Hunan increased trade with Kazakhstan by half

CHANGSHA. November 5. KAZINFORM - Chinese province of Hunan has increased trade with Kazakhstan by half. This was said at a press conference of the Asian mass media with the administration of the region by the general director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Xie Jianhui.

"Cooperation with Kazakhstan is developing better than with the other four Central Asian countries. Indicators of mutual collaboration between the province of Hunan and the countries of Central Asia from January to September this year has amounted to $ 127 million with the dynamics of growth of 10.6 %. The volume of trade with Kazakhstan in comparison to last year increased by 44 % ", she said.

However, she stressed that the principle of "import -export " is only supported with Kazakhstan, as with other countries only import.

"Hunan imports from Kazakhstan non-ferrous metals and chemical products. It exports engineering products", she added.

Hunan with a population of 72 million people, and the administrative center of Changsha, is the 11th largest territory among the provinces of China. Most part of the region is agricultural. But other than that in the region there are factories for production of transport equipment and food products. The province has more than 80 industrial zones and parks. Last year the industry produced goods worth 914 billion yuan, with a growth of 13.5 per cent.
