Chinese family cheers for Kazakh team at 2025 Asian Winter Games
Kazakhstan’s ice hockey team played its final match in Group A at the 9th Winter Asian Games in Harbin, securing the gold medal of the event. A correspondent of Kazinform News Agency talked to Chinese fans who came specifically to support Kazakhstan.
According to Ms. Fang, she traveled especially to cheer for the Kazakh athletes.
“We watch all the events of the Winter Asian Games. Today, I came with my children to cheer for Kazakhstan's national team. Both of my children enjoyed the game of the Kazakh team. I particularly liked athlete no. 15, who is strong and organizing the defense well” said Ms. Fang.
She mentioned that Kazakhstan’s hockey team once again proved its strength.
“Indeed, Kazakhstan has shown its strength in hockey. Congratulations on another victory,” said the fan.
At the same time, Ms. Fang emphasized that friendship should always come first.
“I hope that through these Winter Asian Games, the friendship between China and Kazakhstan will deepen. In my opinion, friendship comes first, and competition comes second,” she added.
As reported earlier, the women’s ice hockey team of Kazakhstan has won a silver medal at the Asian Winter Games 2025.
