China to set up coal converter in Karaganda rgn

SHANGHAI. KAZINFORM "China Kingho Energy Group will set up a coal converter in the Karaganda region," the head of the Xinjiang affiliate of the company told after the meeting with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Shanghai.

"It's a great honor for us that Mr President has received our delegation. Last September we signed a memo of mutual understanding on cooperation in the field of complex coal conversion in the Karaganda region," he added. According to him, the Head of State highly appreciated this innovation and environmentally-safe project. Kazakhstani experts believe, the project is a great breakthrough for the country's balance of energy and ecology. Besides, the project is expected to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan's science and realization of the country's innovation development in the coal chemical industry.
