China to build multi-modal transport-logistics system - Wang Yi
China will continue building a high-quality global infrastructure network uniting sea, land and air routes. This is what Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said a press conference held on the sidelines of the 2nd session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to him, China intends to align the Belt&Road initiative with the development strategies of various countries, as well as to actively build an open global economy.
He stressed that China is keen on making high-quality construction under the Belt&Road initiative serve as an engine for a joint development of all countries of the world and give a strong impetus to the global modernization process.
The Belt&Road initiative unites two projects launched by China in 2013 – the silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.The annual session of China’s National People's Congress will last until 11 March.
