China suggests SCO countries set up security centre

ASTANA. KAZINFORM China has proposed SCO member countries to set up a centre to counter national security threats.
"China proposes to sign Convention for Countering Extremism as soon as possible and authorize SCO for counter-drug functions and set up a centre to fight security challenges and threats," China's State Council Premier Li Keqiang said today in Astana. Besides, China suggests that SCO member states support the efforts of the Afghan Government to ensure stability, national reconciliation and economic development.
