China Exim Bank to invest $500mln in Kazakhstan energy projects

ASTANA. June 22. KAZINFORM The Export-Import Bank of China will allocate half a billion dollars for Kazakhstani energy projects. This intention is confirmed by the framework agreement on financial cooperation signed in Astana on June 13 between Samruk-Energo JSC and China Exim Bank.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation on construction of power distribution networks and other projects totaling USD 500 million. The Export-Import Bank of China is ready to provide financing under terms mutually acceptable to both parties.
