Children’s chess tournament held in Beijing to celebrate Kazakhstan Republic Day
The Kazakh Embassy in Beijing held an open children’s chess tournament dated to the Republic Day of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Boys and girls in two age groups vied for top honors in rapid.
The winners were awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes for sports achievements.
As earlier reported, the chess tournament for diplomats of SCO member states, observer and partner states took place in Beijing under the aegis of Kazakhstan’s SCO chairmanship. It was organized by the Kazakhstan Chess Federation and Chess Sport Administration Centre of General Physical Culture and Sports Administration of China.
It is worth reminding that the Kazakh chess player grabbed bronze at World Junior Chess Championship for the blind and visually impaired.
