KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimanov/ In the conditions of the global financial crisis mass media shall exert every effort for reviving the global economy, promote its stable development through objective covering the measures of the international community on overcoming the current difficulties and as activate cooperation and interaction, Chairman of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao has noted in his welcoming speech at the World Media Forum kicked off in Beijing yesterday.

Hu Jintao called mass media to use all opportunities for propagating the idea of peaceful existence and mutually beneficial cooperation. "Mass media play a key role in organization of equal dialogue among countries in political, economic and cultural spheres. Along with this, mass media shall not avoid activation of cooperation in security and environmental protection", Hu noted.

Mass media must adhere to the principles of journalistic activity and cover the events objectively taking into consideration the realias of the multi-polar world and economic globalization. "Mass media significantly impacts the international policy, economic, social and cultural spheres of life. In this view, sense of high social responsibility in every day activity must become the main criterion for the mass media", the Chairman of the People's Republic of China stressed.
