Chairman of Majilis Committee, Head of EC Office met

In the course of the meeting A. Zholshibekov noted that equal partnership relations with the European Union still remain one of the main priorities for our country. "Our country supports main values of the European Union - as human rights, democracy and supremacy of law", the majilisman said.

In his turn, N. Jousten stressed that the European Union attached high priority to further development of bilateral relations with Kazakhstan. "The EU representation office is ready to render support in implementation of measures within the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in OSCE", he said.

He also informed that the EU delegation would pay a working visit to Kazakhstan to consider the issues on the Customs Union as well as accession of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization.

The Head of the EU representation office expressed hope that the accession to the WTO would not be postponed for a long period.
