Chairman of Kazakh Human Rights Commission meets with US delegation

ASTANA. October 30. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under the President of Kazakhstan Sagynbek Tursynov has met with the American delegation headed by US Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs George A. Krol in the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakhstan Parliament) today.
The delegation was familiarized with the policy of legal reform in Kazakhstan.
"Today our state is paying much attention to the issues of creation of the legal environment needed for further modernization and successful development of the country. In this context we developed the National Human Rights Action Plan", S. Tursynov said.
He stressed that the state bodies, nongovernmental and international organizations were engaged in the document development. According to the Chairman, the National Plan covers all spheres of life of Kazakhstan's interethnic society.
