Chairman of Czech Senate praised efforts of Kazakhstan as OSCE Chair

The parties discussed the issues of activation of bilateral political contacts, prospects of interparliamentary cooperation development and strengthening of interaction on the issues of developing parliamentarism.

Mr. Sobotka praised the effectiveness of the Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE, particularly regarding the settlement of the Kyrgyz situation. He expressed support to the efforts taken by Kazakhstan, as OSCE Chair, and wished our country successful holding of the December Summit in Astana.

The Senate Speaker expressed his readiness to promote activation of interparliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic. He noted that it was needed to organize a visit of the Czech Senate's delegation to Kazakhstan. According to Mr. Sobotka, it will be a logical continuation of two years partnership relations between the two parliaments.
