According to the Kazakh Senate Speaker, OSCE Summit held in 2010, enriched world policy by new conception called "Spirit of Astana." Discussion of implementating the Astana Declaration of the OSCE Summit should be the focus of discussions at the sites of the OSCE Parliamentary Forum.

The focus of the organization should also be protracted conflicts, transnational threats, and Afghanistan, as well as the human dimension, the speaker said. In this context, the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE has a real opportunity to monitor and participate in deciding issues of security and cooperation, not only in the Euro-Atlantic area, but throughout Eurasia.
