Cervical cancer kills 750 women annually - Health Ministry

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan annually registers more than 1,500 cases of cervical cancer and 750 deaths of women from the disease, this has been reported by the Deputy Director of the organization of health care under the Ministry of Health Gulnara Kulkayeva at the conference "The vaccination program against human papillomavirus in Kazakhstan. Ways of implementation".
"Cervical and breast cancer occupy leading positions in the structure of disease, and mortality of women in our country. Annually more than 1,500 cases of cervical cancer registered in Kazakhstan. Every year about 750 women die from the disease", said G.Kulkayeva. According to her words, in general, mortality from cervical cancer disease holds second place in Kazakhstan.
