Ceremony of laying flower to eternal flame held in Almaty

ALMATY. June 22. KAZINFORM /Sara Mustafina/ Today in Almaty, as every year on this day, thousands of townspeople came to the Panfilov Park (park of the 28 Guardsmen) to lay flowers to the Eternal Flame in front of the Glory Memorial. A flower laying ceremony is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov, representatives of local authorities, veteran and youth organizations and, of course, the participants of the Great Patriotic war and workers of rear, their children and grandchildren gathered in the park.
The people held a minute's silence in memory of those killed in the most terrible war of the twentieth century.
