Centralized database of persons with disabilities established in Kazakhstan

KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ ?The Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection established centralized database of persons with disabilities?, Executive Secretary of the Ministry Tamara Duisenova has said today at the enlarged session of the Commission on Human Right under the President of Kazakhstan, Kazinform reports.

?The database contains the information on the number of people with disabilities, their state, reasons of disability and rehabilitation programs?, T.Duisenova said. For January 1, 2009 the people with disabilities in the Republic is up to 466,3 thousand people, 43,1 thousand of which children. Disabilities of the first and second groups prevail. Over 75% of disabled people are persons of working age. Akimats provide 3% quotas from the total number of working place for persons with disabilities.
