Central Election Commission denied registration of four candidates for president

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan has held a session today. The decision to deny registration of four candidates running for the president of Kazakhstan - Bakhyt Abdukarimov, Sukhbar Myrzashov, Askar Syrgabayev and Safiolla Aldazhanov was made at the sitting, the press service of the Commission reports.

The main reasons for denial are non-compliance with the requirements for candidates for the presidential post specified in the Constitution and Constitutional Law "On the elections in Kazakhstan". Thus, Bakhyt Abdukarimov, according to his ID and biographic information, was born on February 23, 1977 and did not reach the age of 40 years as of March 6, 2015. According to the ID and biographic information, Sukhbar Myrzashov, born on September 22, 1984, has not reached the age of 40 years as well. According to the conclusion of a linguistic commission as of March 5, 2015, Askar Syrgabayev and Safiolla Aldazhanov don't speak the state language fluently. The Commission also adopted a resolution of correspondence of Limana Koishiyeva to the requirements for a candidate for the presidential post specified in the Constitution and Constitutional Law "On the elections in Kazakhstan" and provision with candidacy lists for gathering signatures supporting the candidate.
