Central Asia’s joint art expedition ongoing in Uzbekistan
Tashkent is hosting a joint art expedition of the artists of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The event being held for the first time in Central Asia enables the participants to obtain an in-depth knowledge of the history of ancient cities and monuments and create new works based on it.
The expedition is aimed at strengthening the cultural ties between the participating countries. The trip is organized under the project “One Day in Workshop” of Mangistau region’s culture department.

The artists have already visited Khiva and exchanged experience with their local colleagues.
“Together with the young artists, we have embarked on an expedition and drew sketches in plein-air. We have attended master classes from foreign artists and shared experience with the colleagues. In Tashkent, we visited House-Museum of Ural Tansykbayev which is a great experience for us. The organization of such an event proves that the cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are at a high level,” member of the Union of Kazakhstan Artists Tynyshbek Baltabayev said.
The artists have also visited the capital of Karakalpakstan – Nukus, then Bukhara and Samarkand. The expedition will continue in Kyrgyzstan, and will end in with an exhibition in Almaty.
