CEC completes accreditation of foreign observers and media

Today the Central Election Commission has adopted a resolution "On accreditation of observers from foreign states and international organizations on early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan scheduled for April 26, 2015". According to the resolution the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has accredited 146 observers from two missions for election observation, one international organization and four foreign countries. In total, the CEC accredited 858 observers. 293 of them - representatives of the OSCE / ODIHR, 410 - Mission of the CIS and 10 - Mission of the SCO, 15 - Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, 11 - Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries, 3 - Organization of Islamic Cooperation and 116 - observers from 37 foreign states. In addition, 168 representatives of foreign media from the 37-states have received accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thus, the upcoming elections will be monitored by 1026 observers from foreign states, international organizations and foreign journalists.
