Caspian Sea legal status to be determined soon - Kazakh Vice FM

ASTANA. June 16. KAZINFORM The issues regarding the legal status of the Caspian Sea and interstate cooperation in development of Caspian resources were discussed at the sitting on creation of favorable political and economic conditions for Caspian shelf development on Thursday in Astana.
The conference gathered top managers of the companies engaged in the Caspian oil development, heads of corresponding ministries and experts from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia.
Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybai praised the progress of negotiations on development of the convention of the legal status of the Caspian Sea. He expressed hope for successful outcome of the talks.
The conference on Caspian shelf development will last till June 17.
